Both of the cottages are situated on the cobbled Main Street in Dent, 5 miles from Sedbergh and 10 miles from the M6 motorway. The nearest town is Kendal, 17 miles away from Dent. The village lies in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Windermere is 30 miles away from Dent. The 3 Peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside are close by.
Dent Village
Dent is a small village with a Church, Shop and Post Office (this is an outreach service which operates on a Tuesday and Thursday morning) and a Pub/Hotel Restaurant. The River Dee flows through Dent before joining the River Rawthey near Sedbergh. The area is popular for walking and cycling.
Dent Station on the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway is 4 miles away.
